October is finally over and that means I get to move into my own apartment! So exciting!! Plus I had a really successful month. I was able to read many more books that I thought I was going to be able to, which is a plus!
I hope everyone had a successful reading/blogging month! Mine was pretty great in my opinion.
So let’s dive right into it..
I had a total of 45 posts, 453 views from 12 different countries in the month of October.
I read and reviewed all 6 books from my October TBR and 4 extra books
The books I reviewed from my TBR were:
Unrivaled by Alyson Noel which was a carryover from September TBR that I didn’t get to finish before the month was up. You can find my review here.
A Mother’s Confession by Kelly Rimmer was an ARC I got approved for on Netgalley (and was so excited about)! You can find my review here.
A Shade of Blood by Bella Forrest was the next book in the A Shade of Vampire (ASOV) Series that I’ve been anxiously waiting to read! You can find my review here.
Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult was one of the most anticipated books of the year and it did not disappoint. You can find my review here.
The Scent of Salt & Sand by Kristin Cast was a novella from The Escaped series and it didn’t live up to the expectations I had set for it. It was still a great read though! You can find my review here.
3:AM Kisses by Addison Moore was the first book in another series that I could not wait to start. At first I was a little weary, but it turned out to be so good! You can find my review here.
The extra books I reviewed were:
The Day She Can’t Forget by Meg Carter was another ARC I got approved for and sadly I was not impressed with this book. You can find my review here.
November by Audrey Carlan was a quick read that I wanted to get to this month so that I can finish the Calendar Girl series and move into another series by Carlan. You can find my review here.
Once She Dreamed (Part One) by Abbi Glines was a short little story that just came out earlier this month. It was my first read by Glines and I was not disappointed. You can find my review here.
Dead Last by Rachel J Clay was the author review request I received for this month. This was an extremely short read with just 76 pages, but it was SO GOOD! I was not expecting that. My review to come!
This month I’d have to say my weekly memes were a little bit more successful. I started doing Featured Upcoming Releases in place of my Pre-order Book Blabber and Mondays. That seemed to be a bigger hit, which was a relief to see. I’m worried that having a weekly meme for everyday of the week will start to be a little too much. So I’m thinking about cutting some of the days and only doing a few of them. Let me know which ones you think I should cut, if any at all. Of course if y’all love all the posts I’m currently doing, I’ll keep them going!
Featured Upcoming Releases: 5
Top Ten Tuesday: 4
Wish List Wednesday: 4
New Author Thursday: 4
Fun Fact Friday: 4
Book Tags on Saturday: 5
5 Things on Sunday: 5
I had a little bit more success with Netgalley this much, which is super exciting! This month I had 5 declined requests, 2 pending requests, and 2 approved requests for a total of 9 requests. Let’s hope my approvals keep getting higher and higher! Even though I have a ton of books I can read that I bought! 🙂
This month I had 1 author reach out to me about reviewing there book. So stay tuned for that review!
I definitely made some progress on my challenges this month! Last month I ended my 2016 challenge with 40% of my 25 book goal. This month I’m ending with 80% (20 books). I definitely think I’ll have no problems meeting my goal of 25 books read from August-December.
My other reading challenge, Alphabet Soup, has made a little progress also! I left off last month with only 5/26 letters and this month will end with 10/26 letters. I’m not sure I’ll finish this one this year. 😦
I did not start any new reading challenges this month, but I still want to! So I’ve been looking around to get some ideas. If you have any, please share! ❤
You guys are so amazing! I am up to 37 followers now and it’s all because of you! Spreading my posts and chatting with my in comments has helped so much! That’s actually how the author that sent me a review request I mentioned above found me! So a HUGE thanks to you all!
Please share you links to your October Monthly Wrap Ups with me! I love to see how everyone else did this month!
