I cannot believe September is over already! It feels just like a week ago I was posting my September TBR for you all! I swear time flies by so fast!
I hope everyone had a successful reading/blogging month! Mine was just average in my opinion.
So let’s dive right into it..
I had a total of 37 posts in the month of September.
I read and reviewed 4 books from my September TBR list and one unexpected ARC! It could definitely have been better, but I’d have to say my first month with a TBR was a success.
The books I reviewed were..
The Leopard King by Ann Aguirre was the unexpected ARC sent to me by the author herself and it was amazing! You can find my review here.
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult was simply amazing and the twists were unpredictable (to say the least). You can find my review here.
Tremble by Addison Moore is the second book in the Celestra series and it was the best train wreck of a book I have ever read. You can find my review here.
Forty Four book 3 was my quick read for the month. I read it super fast and can’t wait to move on to book 4. You can find my review here.
Enchanted Guardian by Sharon Ashwood was also a request by the author and the second book in the series. It was so good, you must check it out! You can find my review here.
I also started reading Unrivaled by Alyson Noel at the end of the month, so that will be a carryover into October’s TBR. 🙂
I’d have to say my weekly memes were largely unsuccessful. This was the first month I gave those a try and I actually really enjoyed them, but no one really viewed some of the days. So I think I’m going to have to stop doing a couple of them. Especially Wish List Wednesday, New Author Thursday, and Pre-order Book Blabber on Mondays. Unless you all feel otherwise and tell me to keep doing them.
Pre-order Book Blabber Monday: 4 posts
Top Ten Tuesday: 5 posts
Wish List Wednesday: 5 posts
New Author Thursday: 5 posts
Fun Fact Friday: 5 posts
Book Tag Saturday: 2 posts
5 Things on Sunday: 4 posts
I put in requests for 5 different books. I got my first approval! I’m so excited I’ll be diving in to that next month (look for my October TBR). I got denied for two of the requests and never heard anything from the other ones. I’ll try not to be discouraged. But I don’t know how some of my blogger friends get accepted for so many books! So you can say I’m super jealous.
I made a little progress on my reading challenges this month. I have set a 2016 challenge to read 25 books, but that’s because I didn’t start the challenge until August. Currently I am at 40% of my goal (10 books so far). Which isn’t bad, I do believe I’m going at the right pace to meet my goal!
My other reading challenge is Alphabet Soup and it seems I read a lot of books that start with the same letter. LOL So I haven’t made a ton of progress yet. Currently I’m at 5/26 letters in the alphabet. I hope to do much better next month.
I also wouldn’t mind starting some new reading challenges. So if you know any good ones, please let me know!
I gained a couple more followers this month, which makes me really excited. I also interacted with other bloggers a lot more. So I feel like I’m making progress with my blog and I am enjoying it so much! Now I just need to figure out how to get more views.
